ROBERT MILLER
President, Hyperion Books
Robert Miller, president of Hyperion, founded the company for Disney in 1990. Hyperion, which specializes in fiction and non-fiction for adults, has published more than 1, 500 books since its inception, more than 100 of which have been national bestsellers. These include Oprah Winfrey's Make the Connection, Richard Carlson's Don't Sweat The Small Stuff, and Mitch Albom’s The Five People You Meet In Heaven.
Prior to joining Disney, Mr. Miller had been a vice president at Dell Publishing and editorial director of Delacorte Press. Mr. Miller began his career as an editorial assistant at St. Martin's Press in 1978; as an editor there he was responsible for Mary Wilson's bestselling Dreamgirl: My Life as a Supreme. He subsequently moved on to a position as senior editor at Warner Books where he acquired such books as Robert D. Ballard's Discovery of the Titanic and The Andy Warhol Diaries.
Mr. Miller, who is currently chairman of the Association of American Publishers, lives with his wife and three children in New Jersey.
