In its second year, Disney Junior, the daily programming block for kids age 2-7 on Disney Channel, posted the network's biggest yearly audience in the daypart in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Girls 2-5 and Women 18-49.
"Doc McStuffins" ranked as cable TV's #1 series of 2012 among Kids 2-5, Girls 2-5 and Boys 2-5 – a network first. The animated TV movie "Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess" was the #1 TV telecast of 2012 among preschoolers and the #1 preschooler telecast in Total Viewers and Women 18-49 – also seminal accomplishments. "Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess" was the #1 telecast in cable TV history in Kids 2-5 and Girls 2-5, and #1 preschooler cable TV telecast ever in Total Viewers and Women 18-49.
"Jake and the Never Land Pirates" and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" were Top 3 contenders in Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, giving Disney Channel the Top 3 cable TV series in the demos for the first time in the network's history.
For January and February 2013, the new series "Sofia the First" was the #1 cable TV series among Kids, Girls and Boys 2-5 and the #1 preschooler cable TV series in Total Viewers and Women 18-49.

Disney Junior's acclaimed short-form series include "A Poem Is…," designed to introduce children to the beauty of a poem, and "Minnie's Bow-Toons," which follows Minnie Mouse and her pal Daisy as they run Minnie's Bow-Tique, a specialty shop stocked only with colorful bows and bowties. Additional short-form series include "Mickey Mousekersize," "Special Agent Oso: Three Healthy Steps," "Tasty Time with ZeFronk" and "Dance-A-Lot Robot," all part of Disney's Magic of Healthy Living initiative encouraging healthier lifestyles for kids through content designed to get kids and families up and moving and eating healthier.
