Disney Junior, part of Disney Channels Worldwide, is a global television and online brand expressly for kids age 2-7. On March 23, 2012, Disney Junior will launch as a 24-hour basic cable/satellite channel in the U.S., joining 28 other Disney Junior channels around the world. Disney Junior invites mom and dad to join their child in the Disney experience of magical, musical and heartfelt stories and characters, both classic and new, while incorporatingspecific learning and development themes designed for young children.

Reach:
In the U.S., the daily Disney Junior programming block is available in more than 99 million homes on Disney Channel. Combined U.S. and internationally, Disney Junior blocks and channels are available in at least 35 languages and 166 countries/territories* in over 375.8 million households. With a total of 28 channels (soon to be 29 with the US launch in March 2012), Disney Junior channels are available in 21 languages and 144 countries/territories* in over 66.9 million households.

Performance:
Since its February 2011 launch, Disney Junior has delivered tremendous success and is up by double digits in many territories, including the U.S. and the UK. In the U.S., Disney Junior has changed the preschool landscape, not only delivering a record breaking 2011 for the daypart with Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, but with Women 18-49 and Total Viewers as well. “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” ranks as the #1 Boys 2-5 preschool cable series of 2011. The series is Disney Channel’s #1 preschool series of all time (based on its first 25 original episodes) in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Boys 2-5 and Women 18-49. Since its premiere, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" is the #1 co-viewed series among all Disney Junior and Nickelodeon preschool series, with nearly half of its Women 18-49 audience watching with a Kid age 2-5. The series'first-ever primetime special, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns" is Disney Channel’s #1 preschool evening telecast ever among Kids and Girls 2-5, Women 18-49 and Total Viewers, with 3.1 million tuning in.

Programming:

Disney Junior original series include cable's #1 series among Boys 2-5, the Annie Award-winning "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" and the Emmy-nominated "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse." Additional programming includes "Little Einsteins," "Handy Manny," “Jungle Junction” and "Special Agent Oso." Launching with the 24-hour channel on March 23, is the imaginative animated series "Doc McStuffins," about a six-year-old girl who communicates with and heals stuffed animals and toys in her backyard clinic.

Disney Junior's acclaimed short-form series include "A Poem Is…," designed to introduce children to the beauty of a poem, and "Minnie's Bow-Toons," which follows Minnie Mouse and her pal Daisy as they run Minnie's Bow-Tique, a specialty shop stocked only with colorful bows and bowties. Additional short-form series include "Mickey Mousekersize," "Special Agent Oso: Three Healthy Steps," "Tasty Time with ZeFronk" and "Dance-A-Lot Robot," all part of Disney's Magic of Healthy Living initiative encouraging healthier lifestyles for kids through content designed to get kids and families up and moving and eating healthier.

Upcoming programming includes "Sofia the First," a television movie and series introducing a new little girl princess with stories designed to communicate positive messages and life lessons that are applicable to preschool-aged children; and the first western for preschoolers, starring actress and singer-songwriter Mandy Moore (Disney's "Tangled") as the voice of a kitty cat sheriff who ensures that the town of Nice and FriendlyCorners remains the friendliest town in the West.
