Disney Television Animation (DTVA), an animation studio established in December 1984, is an industry leader in the creation of animated television product for preschoolers, kids and tweens. The studio brings programming and production expertise together under the same leadership as Disney Channels Worldwide.

Distribution:
Series produced by DTVA air seven days a week on both cable and broadcast outlets and new media platforms around the world, including Disney Channel, Disney XD, the upcoming Disney Junior, ABC Kids on the ABC Television Network, SVOD and VOD.

Current Productions:
DTVA has as many as a dozen series currently in production and more than 50 series in various stages of development for Disney Channels Worldwide. DTVA-produced series include the Emmy Award-winning “Phineas and Ferb” as well as “Fish Hooks,” “Kick Buttowski – Suburban Devil,” “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and “Special Agent Oso.” “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” – a new interactive 2-D and CG animated series for preschoolers and parents featuring the music and fun-filled adventures of classic characters Captain Hook and Smee, plus a new crew of kid pirates – launches in February 2011 on the newly branded Disney Junior programming block on Disney Channel. In addition, DTVA is collaborating with Walt Disney Studios to produce “Tron: Uprising,” a visually stunning television series that focuses on the era of the “Tron” storyline that transpires after the popular 1982 feature film and before the story in “Tron: Legacy.” The series, which debuts in Summer 2012, will be preceded by a 10-part “Tron” micro-series launching in Fall 2011 on Disney XD.
