TODD DUBESTER PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR DISNEY MEDIA NETWORKS

Todd Dubester has been promoted to vice president of Disney Media Networks’ Global Distribution Strategy & Business Development by Ben Pyne, president, Global Distribution, Disney Media Networks. Dubester will have oversight of the department that will be a centralized strategic, development and operational resource for the division which handles international, syndicated, digital and affiliate distribution of The Walt Disney Company’s portfolio of entertainment and news content. In the role, Dubester will continue to report to Pyne.
Under Dubester’s oversight, the team will align domestic and international distribution strategic initiatives to leverage growth opportunities. Tasked with business development, Dubester will identify, evaluate and support opportunities for new distribution channels, platforms, technologies and business models. He will also manage business operations for the division.
“Todd possesses great creative and analytical talent for developing and evaluating opportunities,” said Pyne. “His oversight of the new department will play a pivotal role in the convergence of content distribution in the digital era.”
Dubester joined The Walt Disney Company in 2005 in Corporate Operations and Planning. After working in Strategy and Business Development for Disney Interactive Studios, he was most recently with the Office of the President for Global Distribution Disney Media Networks. He began his career as an investment banking analyst for Lehman Brothers and was a senior strategist and new media consultant for Concrete Media.
Disney Media Networks Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of The Walt Disney Company’s entertainment and news content, including feature films, television series, kids programming, miniseries, new documentaries and formats through affiliate, syndicated, international and digital outlets.
